About
Jennifer Magno is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Tasmania’s Huon Valley. She creates thoughtful, original design for small businesses, makers and creatives who value authenticity, storytelling and a personal approach.
With a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Graphic Design) from the University of Tasmania, and more than a decade of professional experience, Jennifer has worked across branding, packaging, print, web and illustration. After beginning her career in a Hobart design studio, she established her own freelance practice in 2014. Today, she collaborates with a diverse range of clients while continuing to work alongside the studio that helped shape her early career.
Jennifer is best known for combining hand-drawn illustration with considered graphic design to create visual identities that feel warm, distinctive and enduring. Inspired by Tasmania’s landscapes, native flora and fauna, her work reflects a love of the natural world and an appreciation for colour, texture and detail. Jennifer is fascinated by the stories, patterns and connections that often go unnoticed – a perspective shaped as much by long walks and a lifelong love of literature as by her formal design training.
Alongside client projects, Jennifer creates greeting cards and fine art prints featuring her original artworks. Her cards are printed locally in Tasmania using recycled materials, reflecting her commitment to supporting local production and making sustainable design choices wherever possible.
Whether she's developing a brand identity, crafting a beautiful book layout, or creating a custom illustration, Jennifer enjoys helping people bring their ideas to life through design that feels personal, meaningful and true to who they are.
